Jet Regional Pertama Buatan China Lakukan Terbang Perdana

Beijing (ANTARA News) - Jet regional pertama China yang dikembangkannya sendiri, ARJ21-700, merampungkan uji terbang perdananya Jumat di Shanghai, kantor berita Xinhua melaporkan. 

Diluncurkan pada Desember tahun lalu, pesawat dengan kapasitas 90 penumpang bernama "Xiang Feng" atau "Burung Api Terbang" itu mendarat dengan selamat setelah terbang selama sejam, tulis Xinhua dalam laman internet miliknya. 

"Jet tersebut tak mengalami gangguan apa-apa dan penerbangan berlangsung mulus," kata salah satu dari tiga pilot di dalam pesawat dengan jangkauan terbang maksimum
3.700 kilometer dan ketinggian maksimum 11.900 meter itu.

Dalam penerbangan perdana ini ARJ21-700 hanya terbang pada ketinggian 900 meter. 

Pesanan untuk ARJ21-700 hingga sejauh ini telah mencapai 208 pesawat, termasuk 25 pesawat oleh GE Commercial Aviation Services dari AS. Penyerahan pesawat akan dimulai kurang dari 18 bulan. 

China saat ini mampu memperoduksi 20 ARJ-21 per tahun, lapor Xinhua. 

ARJ21, yang merupakan kependekan Advanced Regional Jet for for 21st Century atau Jet Regional Canggih untuk Abad 21, dijual dengan harga 27 juta dolar, 10 persen lebih murah ketimbang jet Bombardier yang berkapasitas 90 kursi. (*)
